Changes to the ACT Test

Launching in September 2015, there will be some changes to the national ACT test.  The ACT is administered to all North Carolina public high school 11th Graders on March 1, 2016.


Now, new readiness scores will be created to determine performance and preparedness.  The overall score will continue to remain 1-to-36.  New score indicators will now include:

• STEM Score
• English Language Arts (ELA) Score
• Career Readiness Indicator
• Text Complexity Progress Indicator
