Advanced Placement Exam scores for 2021 recently were released in North Carolina. Proficiency on the AP Exam requires a level III, IV, or V.
In the midst of a school-year unlike any other, which included ever-changing instructional environments our teachers and students had to adapt to in 2020-21, ranging from fully-remote, hybrid cohorts of only two days in-person, and a shortened school-day (plus shortened class periods), places even more emphasis on the high-quality instruction that occurs in our AP classrooms at Lake Norman Charter. Therefore, the asterisk simply serves as the reminder of how unique the '20-21 school year was for everyone.For LNC, here is a rundown of some quick-hit highlights, starting with our overall success:

The LNC Proficiency rate was at least 20% higher than the National Average for eleven subjects.
Five subjects had at least 30% higher Proficiency rate than the National Average: Chemistry, English Language, Human Geography, Psychology, and U.S. Government
We were above the National Average in 13 total subjects.
This point of pride can be shared by all faculty and staff as continued evidence of our high academic standards in all subject areas. Our success is a testament to the shared ownership of learning by our teachers and students, as well as the shared support by our families...especially after a school year unlike any other we have ever experienced.
