Knights of Honor - January 2022

The Lake Norman Charter High School Knights of Honor program recognizes students for their personal progress in fulfilling the LNC Honor Code.  The program allows faculty and staff to nominate students who demonstrate one of the four pillars: Honesty, Integrity, Respect, and Responsibility.

Our January recipients are: Sophomores Enioluwa O. (Integrity) and Addy W. (Responsibility) & Juniors Yishama C. (Respect) and Andrew H. (Integrity).

Their respective nominations:

Eni created positive messages for everyone in my class as part of an initiative for her club. She came in after school to leave the anonymous messages on her classmates' desks and spent hours creating the handwritten notes. In this chaotic world, she spread joy and reassuring messages to uplift those around her with this random act of kindness. [nominated by Mrs. Cavicchia]

Addy is a hard worker with a positive attitude and diligent student. In reading novels for my class, she is thorough in her annotations and spends countless hours preparing for class projects because she holds herself to such a high standard. She asks questions, participates, and advocates for herself when she not understand something; her dedication to her education is impressive, as she always gives 110%. [nominated by Mrs. Cavicchia]

Yishama models respect each and every day. He compliments and helps his classmates and assists me with classroom tasks. He has a calm and caring demeanor, which helps provide for a positive class environment. [nominated by Ms. Matocha]

Drew has grown exponentially this year by taking initiative in his classes, showing passion in his studies, and is advocating for himself, which is showing in his worth ethic. He takes time out to help others and teach concepts for those who need additional assistance. He is compassionate, participatory, and persistent with a positive attitude. We have both known him since his freshman year and are so proud of his commitment and diligence he is displaying this year. [nominated by Mrs. Scire & Mrs. Cavicchia]

Congratulations and thank you to these students for being their best!
