Knights of Honor - April 2022

The Lake Norman Charter High School Knights of Honor program recognizes students for their personal progress in fulfilling the LNC Honor Code.  The program allows faculty and staff to nominate students who demonstrate one of the four pillars: Honesty, Integrity, Respect, and Responsibility. 

Our April recipients are: Sophomore Tim Z. (Responsibility), Junior Sophie B. (Integrity), and Seniors Kimber B. (Integrity) & Brinlee C. (Respect).

Their respective nominations:

Tim goes above and beyond in helping with other students in class. He is patient, thorough, and kind in re-explaining the assignment, he gets out of his chair to assist others, and I appreciate the extra help so I can work with others. Not many students would stop what they are doing to help another, and I appreciate and recognize his efforts. [nominated by Mrs. Cavicchia]

Sophie empowers another student in the class to stay on task and she works with him on understanding the assignments. Earlier this semester, she worked with him on the research paper where she was patient and kind in motivating him one-on-one. In addition, she advocates for herself and has improved in the class greatly. We are so proud of the changes she has made in herself and in others. [nominated by Mrs. Cavicchia & Mrs. Scire]

A few weeks ago, Kimber recognized something of concern and brought it to my attention. It would have been very easy for her to overlook or ignore the situation, but she recognized the potential seriousness that could have resulted. Kimber demonstrated a very strong sense of integrity by doing the right thing and I appreciate her very much. [nominated by Mr. Smith]

I was in my classroom before school and I overheard Brinlee encourage another student who was upset with a grade. Brinlee was uplifting and encouraging and tried to help the student change the mindset of discouragement. [nominated by Mrs. Massingale]
