Knights of Honor - September 2023

The Lake Norman Charter High School Knights of Honor program recognizes students for their personal progress in fulfilling the LNC Honor Code. The program allows faculty and staff to nominate students who demonstrate one of the four pillars: Honesty, Integrity, Respect, and Responsibility.

Our recipients for September are: Sophomore Roshini S. (Responsibility), Juniors Clara P. (Responsibility) & Janson K. (Integrity), and Senior Hayden S. (Respect).

Their respective nominations:

Roshini follows through with what she undertakes. She is super reliable and trustworthy. She undertakes many things and follows through with them all in excellence. (nominated by Madame Davis)

Clara is such a reliable, honest, and respectful student. She takes pictures of sporting events for Yearbook and goes out of her way to attend away games to take pictures of our students, so they can be featured in the book. She even got into a (minor) accident on the way to another school and still stayed to take pictures! (nominated by Mrs. Cavicchia)

Janson volunteered in the concession stand during a home football game. He showed up on his own and jumped right in to help with ANYTHING we needed. I introduced him to all the parents and everyone shared, "Wow, he was a huge help tonight." He was only going to work the first half but came back to help the rest of the game - no one asked him to or expected him to come back and help. He didn't stand around and watch; he constantly asked "What can I do?", "Here, let me do it...", or just took upon himself to do things like clean, load drinks, empty trash, prepare food to serve, and keep everything stocked. He was truly one of the best student volunteers we've had in a long time! (nominated by Mrs. Thomas)

Hayden always addresses me and his peers respectfully. He treats the classroom and our building in the same way. He is quiet and does not draw attention to himself, but he deserves this honor for his quiet way of respect and diligence. (nominated by Madame Davis)

Congratulations and thank you to these students for being their best!
