The Lake Norman Charter High School Knights of Honor program recognizes students for their personal progress in fulfilling the LNC Honor Code. The program allows faculty and staff to nominate students who demonstrate one of the four pillars: Honesty, Integrity, Respect, and Responsibility.
Our recipients for October are: Freshman Wyatt H (Integrity), Sophomore Owen K. (Respect), Junior C.J. L. (Responsibility), and Senior Geethika V. (Responsibility).

Their respective nominations:
During the "warm up" for our special guest speaker, Chris Singleton, Owen was one of the students selected to play a game of Knockout. As the field narrowed, Owen could certainly eliminate another student with unique needs from the competition. Instead, he intentionally overshot the basket and allowed the other student to win. I appreciated his sense of understanding and kindness in that moment and think he should be acknowledged for it. (nominated by Mrs. Barkley)
CJ has taken on the responsibility in my 3rd Period class to help me out in such a tremendous way. He is teaching his fellow classmate to repair computers, and how to problem solve the various tech issues that our student laptops face. He is fully hands-on and is filled with ideas when we face unique issues. From having him last year to this year, I see such a huge development in him. During his period, I am able to focus on other tasks and responsibilities because I know CJ got it! (nominated by Mrs. Barry)
Beyond being a super kind and incredibly talented student, Geethika is a stellar leader in the Student Diversity and Inclusion Council. Over the last few years, I've witnessed her grow into an engaging and dynamic leader who takes initiative to do whatever needs to be done to make the club successful. Beyond leading by example, she is also able to guide her peers through the many events and discussions that we have in SDIC. I really cannot thank her enough for the maturity and responsibility that she has continued to demonstrate. (nominated by Mr. Swiatek)
Congratulations and thank you to these students for being their best!
