Knights of Honor - Q3 2021

The Lake Norman Charter High School Knights of Honor program recognizes students for their personal progress in fulfilling the LNC Honor Code.  The program allows faculty and staff to nominate students who demonstrate one of the four pillars: Honesty, Integrity, Respect, and Responsibility.  Faculty and Staff have the opportunity to nominate students.

Our Q3 recipients are: Freshman Ryan E. (Responsibility), Junior Bethany J. (Responsibility), Senior Zoey S. (Integrity), and Freshman Macaria W. (Integrity).

Their respective nominations:
Ryan goes above and beyond for his learning. He consistently does quality work and seeks clarification to further his understanding and content knowledge. He is organized and responsible, planning ahead and studying even when there is no pending assessment. [nominated by Ms. Elkins]

Bethany has been working double time throughout this pandemic to get her work completed, submitted, and reaches out when she needs additional help.  She is an impressive student who is doing everything right to be successful. I am so proud of her! [nominated by Mrs. Scire]

I have taught Zoey for three years and she is awesome! She has battled some severe health issues over the past two years and she never lets it interfere with her school work or positive attitude. She works double time to make up work she misses and spends her extra time volunteering to help children at the hospital who are dealing with similar health issues.  She is compassionate, diligent, and has the brightest personality while managing stressors no student should have to face. [nominated by Mrs. Cavicchia]

Macaria recognized that she had some trouble early on with remote work.  She reached out to me asking for help, and together we came up with a plan. Macaria worked diligently to improve her work habits and her grade. I'm very pleased with her consistent efforts at self-improvement and growth. [nominated by Mr. Bates]

Congratulations to these students for being their best!
