Knights of Honor - March 2022

The Lake Norman Charter High School Knights of Honor program recognizes students for their personal progress in fulfilling the LNC Honor Code.  The program allows faculty and staff to nominate students who demonstrate one of the four pillars: Honesty, Integrity, Respect, and Responsibility.

Our March recipients are: Freshman Alex B. (Responsibility), Sophomores Austin M.  (Responsibility) & Mithra V. S. (Respect), and Junior Justin E. (Integrity).

Their respective nominations:

Alex should be recognized because she is a very responsible student who takes initiative in her own learning.  She actively seeks me out when she has questions about an assignment, is vigilant about submitting her work consistently and on time, and is always a positive, active participant in class.  She is definitely a bright spot in my day! [nominated by Mrs. McClain]

Austin comes to class ready to learn each day.  He works hard to make sure that he understands the content and is able to apply it.  When working in lab groups, he stays on task and works extremely well with others.  Awesome young man! [nominated by Mrs. Williams]

Every day, without fail, when Mithra enters class he greets me with, "Good Afternoon".  He is well-respected by his peers and always on task.  Each day when he leaves class he wishes me a "...good rest of the day".  He always says please and thank you to me and to his peers in using a respectful tone and kind words.  Mithra stands out to me as one of the most respectful students I've taught because he's not just respectful to me, he's always respectful to others.  That deserves recognition! [nominated by Mrs. Schroth]

Justin has been challenged this yea in Math, but that has never deterred him.  Justin has been the most consistent student in regards to attending tutoring to not only help himself understand the material, but also make sure he is mastering it.  He comes to class and tutoring prepared with questions and is always willing to get feedback, as he knows it will in the end help him.  His ability to work through his struggles has led him to be a much stronger critical thinker, in addition to a stronger math student.  His perseverance proves that he is willing to put in the time and effort to achieve the goals that he has set for himself in any capacity. [nominated by Coach Zamiara]

Congratulations and thank you to these students for being their best!
