Knights of Honor - January 2023

The Lake Norman Charter High School Knights of Honor program recognizes students for their personal progress in fulfilling the LNC Honor Code. The program allows faculty and staff to nominate students who demonstrate one of the four pillars: Honesty, Integrity, Respect, and Responsibility.

Our recipients to open 2023 are: Freshman Kenadi T. (Honesty), Sophomore Alex N. (Respect), Junior Joy A. (Integrity), and Senior Travis E. (Responsibility).

Their respective nominations:

Kenadi went out of her way to notify me of something that I might have accidentally overlooked. It was very appreciated that she informed me. Thanks, Kenadi! (nominated by Mr. Schroth)

We would like to nominate Alex for taking the initiative to clean the Student Commons after school, entirely on his own without request. He was definitely being a model LNC student. (nominated by Mrs. Hale & Mrs. Wiehl)

Joy is such an amazing individual. She comes to class every day with the best attitude (even in the hallways). She always has a smile on her face, is open-minded when it comes to new material or other individuals' perspectives, and really cares about those around her. In addition to her attitude, Joy is always willing to help others around her with understanding what we are doing in class. Joy might be done with a certain problem, but is always open to answering questions from others to help them understand, as well. The way she explains to others is very thorough and simplified. She is a perfect example of what we hope for out of our students at Lake Norman Charter. (nominated by Coach Zamiara)

Travis coordinated the first annual Club Fair, where we had over 28 clubs participate and 180 students attend. He worked with another student and the two of them emailed administration, teachers, and students, in addition to executing their ideas. This event was a huge success and Travis deserves all the credit! (nominated by Mrs. Cavicchia)

Congratulations and thank you to these students for being their best!
