Knights of Honor - March 2021

The Lake Norman Charter High School Knights of Honor program recognizes students for their personal progress in fulfilling the LNC Honor Code.  The program allows faculty and staff to nominate students who demonstrate one of the four pillars: Honesty, Integrity, Respect, and Responsibility.  Faculty and Staff have the opportunity to nominate students.

Our March recipients are: Senior Miles B. (Respect), Senior Hyrum C. (Integrity), Freshman Gabe T. (Responsibility), and Junior Jacob L. (Honesty).

Their respective nominations:

Miles was an easy choice. Miles has been active in the assistance of stabilizing the mental health of the students around him from Freshmen to Seniors.  Miles is a kind-hearted young man and has shared this with his peers, lifting spirits in a time that we all need it most.  I have seen this firsthand but more importantly have had parents of other students report it to me, in such gratitude of Miles being there for their loved ones at school. [nominated by Officer Bononno]

Over the last three weeks, Hyrum has shown an incredible work ethic.  He has committed to coming in every Wednesday and staying for as long as it takes to catch up on his work, which has dramatically improved his grade.  Hyrum has made sure that all of his assignments are caught up and done well.  He should be very proud of the gains he has made and mastery of the material. [nominated by Coach Steele]

Gabe is an excellent participator and leader in class.  He always puts forth the highest quality of work.  He even let me know when I accidentally gave a higher grade than he deserved!  All around a dependable and kind student. [nominated by Mrs. McNeilly]

Jacob is an open book and he recently used his honesty to share how his own life experiences were similar to those I am currently experiencing and he did so in a way that was supportive and compassionate.  I am incredibly grateful for his honesty and the impact it had on me. [nominated by Mrs. Schroth]

Congratulations to these students for being their best!
