All the talk recently (and by recently, I refer to the past few years) of educator pay in North Carolina has weighed heavily on many educators. This is true of those in school leadership roles, as well. To be authentic, when the Department of a Public Instruction posted the Salary Schedule for 2014-2015 after the General Assembly's budget was signed into Bill, I was a bit discouraged myself.
Thankfully, I was reminded of true self-worth this morning by legendary strength coach Mike Barwis while watching a DVR'ed episode of his show American Muscle. The message is undeniably worth sharing:
