Strategic Plan Focus Areas 2016-2017

As we prepare for the opening of the 2016-2017 school-year at Lake Norman Charter, it is essential for all stakeholders to be aware and knowledgeable of the focus area of our school's Strategic Plan and Board goals.  These focus areas are aligned with the LNC mission and core values, which ultimately affiliate the characteristics outlined in the "Portrait of an LNC Graduate" (see related post here).

Every faculty and staff member, student, parent/guardian, and involved community member should be familiar with the three key focus areas of our Strategic Plan, as follows:
  • Technology - Ensure we are supporting current 1:World program, matching instructional Best Practices with opportunities to promote creativity, collaboration, critical-thinking, and communication.
  • College CounselingContinue looking ahead to define optimal opportunities and experiential learning, enhanced relationships with colleges/universities, and ongoing communication of programs.
  • Global Acceptance and Diversity (formerly known as Cross Cultural Competency) - Provide experiences and immersed student experiences that expand awareness, appreciation, and understanding of cultures, traditions, etc.
The above focus areas require a truly cohesive and collaborative intentions of all stakeholders.  The Board of Directors, administrative team, faculty, staff, students, and parents all cooperate and aspire to accomplish the LNC Strategic Plan goals, but this can only occur if we first and foremost routinely communicate the areas in which we strive to grow.

You can read the LNC State of the School in .pdf form.
