October 31, 2023: "Shadowed by the Principal" & #NoOfficeDay Live Blog

Updated 3:08 PM

On TuesdayOctober 31st, I am participating in a "Shadowed by the Principal" event. During the Lake Norman Charter Royal Golf Outing event earlier in the month, a silent auction item was available for families to bid on the opportunity to have their student shadowed by the Principal for an entire school day.

The winning bidder was the Hinesley Family...again; so the receiving student is Ben, a 12th Grader...again. Yes, this is the same student and family who successfully "won" the opportunity last year when Ben was a junior. Therefore, this is the first time I will be shadowing the same student over multiple years.

It made perfect sense to repeat the spooky day of a HS Student for Halloween.

Furthermore, I am utilizing this opportunity to double as a #noofficeday, which is a popular effort by school administrators to dedicate an entire school day out of their office.

October 31, 2022: "Shadowed by the Principal" & #NoOfficeDay Live Blog

Updated 2:45 PM

On Monday, October 31st, I am participating in a "Shadowed by the Principal" event. During the LNC "Boots, Bulls, and BBQ" event in March, a silent auction item was available for families to bid on the opportunity to have their high school student shadowed by the Principal for an entire school day.

The winning bidder was the Hinesley Family, so the receiving student is Ben Hinesley, an 11th Grader. I provided a list of dates and therefore, I suppose the spooky day of a HS Junior for Halloween was perfect.

Furthermore, I am utilizing this opportunity to double as a #noofficeday, which is a popular effort by school administrators to dedicate an entire school day out of their office.

Sept. 28, 2017: "Shadowed by the Principal" & #NoOfficeDay Live Blog

Updated 3:08 PM

On Thursday, September 28th, I am participating in a "Shadowed by the Principal" event.  During the spring LNC Soiree, a silent auction item was available for families to bid on the opportunity to have their high school student shadowed by the Principal for an entire school day.

The winning bidder was the Cowles Family, so the receiving student is J.D. Cowles, a Senior.  We coordinated our schedules and selected the date.  Strategically, we are currently in our Fall Homecoming Spirit Week, and September 28th is Role-Reversal Day.

Furthermore, I am utilizing this opportunity to double as a #noofficeday, which is a popular effort by school administrators to dedicate an entire school day out of their office.

May 11, 2016: "Shadowed by the Principal" & #NoOfficeDay Live Blog

On Wednesday, May 11th, I am participating in a "Shadowed by the Principal" event.  During the spring LNC Casino Night, a silent auction item was available for families to bid on the opportunity to have their high school student shadowed by the Principal for an entire school day.

The winning bidder was the Newton Family, so the receiving student is Jackson Newton, a 10th Grader.  We coordinated our schedules and selected the date.  Coincidentally, we are currently in our Spring Spirit Week, and May 11th is Twin Day.

In addition, I am utilizing this opportunity to double as a #noofficeday, which is a popular effort by school administrators to dedicate an entire school day out of their office.

I will be attempting to update this blog post throughout the day to share my experiences.
