The North Carolina Department of Transportation has stated the sinkhole may not be completely repaired until after Labor Day. Adding additional stress to my neighborhood and nearby Huntersville residents, Gilead Road is also closed due to a 15-feet stretch of sunken road from the June 28th severe thunderstorm. NCDOT expects for Gilead Road to be fixed in early-August.
Update from Town of Huntersville (via @HuntersvilleGov): Just got updated estimates from NCDOT on completion of repairs to Bud Henderson (Aug. 2) & Gilead (Aug 18)
